Buying a home can be very stressful for most home buyers, especially first time home buyers. Since January 2018 when stress test was introduced, home buying has become a more difficult and frustrating process for buyers. There is not much significant change in wage rate, but stress test demands really high income to qualify for a mortgage. More and more loan applications have been rejected than approved.

This trend is not only frustrating for first time home buyers but also adversely affecting the lives of thousands of people associated with the housing industry. Rents have gone so high, homebuyers prefer to make payment of their own home rather than paying for someone else's mortgage.

We request Govt to remove stress test and help more home buyers qualify to own their home. This will also help all the people involved in developing, construction, financing, renovating, conveyancing, inspecting and selling homes.
