Death Penalty Action

Jun 6, 2019 —

URGENT UPDATE

We are writing because you have signed our petition to help #StopThe1500th execution. A new execution date was just set in Georgia for June 20 - two weeks from yesterday! The next execution will be the 1500th since executions resumed in the United States in 1977.

There are now more than 700 of us signed on to this petition. YOU have taken the first step by signing this petition. Please share it again right now: Here is a social media post you can share:

#DeathPenalty stats continue to trend downward, yet the June 20th execution in Georgia will be the #1500th in the USA since 1977. Please sign and share now to say #StopThe1500thhttps://t.co/Z1SeuFWAvB

We at Death Penalty Action are consulting with allies on the ground in Georgia and will update you again shortly. If you might join us on the ground in Georgia, send a note to info@DeathPenaltyAction.org with your name and phone number.

Can't make it but you can support someone else who can? We need frequent flier plane tickets and cash.

If you have enough frequent flier miles to support a full round trip ticket, please send a note to info@DeathPenaltyAction.org.

And, if you are able to support this work as we now scramble with less than two weeks notice, please chip in here, now!  Chip in $50 or more and we'll send you a t-shirt like the one in the picture - sizes available from adult S to XXXL.

Many thanks. More soon!
