Problem
Stay at Home Moms are underappreciated and taken for granted more often then not. They strive to provide a positive life for their children and spouse and urge them to be successful. These women are the silent backbone of the household. Because these women tend to live for their family's, they frequently diagnosed with depression and other mental health disorders. Due to lack of time for themselves, they often wait to get treated when it gets unmanageable if they get treatment at all.

Solution
If we created a support group for stay at home moms I feel that we can help each other grow and lift one other up. We can hold monthly meetings and stay in touch via phone calls, social media, email, and other virtual forms of communication. In order to be a member you must sign confidentiality agreements stating that anything said in confidence between members while in group or otherwise will stay between members unless it was to harm yourself or someone else. I think this would be a great outlet for women to be able to get support without fear of judgment or gossip.

Personal story
I am a stay at home mom of two wonderful children and also suffer from Borderline Personality Disorder. Although I am on medication to manage my disorder (once every 3 months), I am.unable to make therapy weekly, which is required for most places that provide that service. I think having a support system I can just chat with and be comfortable with it would help myself and others like me deal with day to day life of not only struggling with mental health, but also being a provider and a parent.
