Restore funding for The Autism Program of Illinois for FY 2015 and FY 2016

Effective immediately, Governor Rauner has CUT ALL FUNDING for The Autism Program of Illinois (TAP) for the rest of FY 2015. TAP is a vital resource, not just in our communities, but also in our state. Today, TAP is recognized as the largest statewide autism service and resource network in the nation with four university partners, 13 nonprofit partners and 19 centers across the state. The decision to strip TAP of it’s funding for the rest of FY 2015 – stopping critical therapy without any warning to families - is not only unethical, but also dangerous. Thousands of families will have nowhere to turn and will be left without any safety net. It is time to band together. We must make our voices heard by Governor Rauner. Sign this petition today and demand that funding for The Autism Program of Illinois (TAP) be restored for Fiscal Year 2015 and Fiscal Year 2016. Now more than ever, our children need us to be their warriors and put the pieces of the puzzle back together. Help your child today so they have a better tomorrow!
