Currently, employers can LEGALLY discriminate against applicants and current employees solely based on the physical appearance of their skin. Discrimination occurs to often for tattooed professionals. An applicant can legally be denied employment regardless of their qualifications, education, credentials, or experience simply because of a visible tattoo. Employers can also require an employee to have their tattoos covered at all times, dispite climate or cultural heritage.

Many cultures are centered around body art and modifications such as tattoos and piercings. EVERYONE should be entitled to have power over their own body, and cultural practices, without fear of being considered LESS for the rest of their life.

In 2019, tattoos are still considered taboo, dispite the fact that 36% of Americans have at least one. It is time for  us,the tattooed professionals to unite, stand together, and break the stigma!
