Governor Pat Quinn: Help Meridian Elementary School to remove the mold or get a new building

We need help in Mounds IL. The community of Mounds, IL is dealing with a disaster. Our Elementary school has black mold and we were only able to retrieve the desks and chairs before the building was completely shut down. The State of IL is blind to our dilemma and has of yet to offer any type of assistance. So we are trying to help ourselves, the only viable option has been presented is to split the children in shifts at the high school building, that was built to accommodate 9th -12th grades not Pre-K-thru 12th. The hardship will be great for children, parents and teachers. There are no books or any type of supplies to make even the shifts at the high school function at the lowest level of performance! Some parents and a lot of children have been present for fund raisers and events but it is still only a drop in the never ending hole of basic necessities. Please help us to help ourselves! We need you to take some action NOW. Here is a link to the story on the news about our plight.
