Why this petition matters

Trevor was a back seat passenger in a vehicle that was illegally stopped. He was forced from the back seat and brutally injured by a police officer breaking his ribs, then throwing him to the ground and while he was on top of him, Trevor was intentionally shot by another female officer. He was in the hospital on life support for nearly a month, and the family was not even allowed to visit him per the sheriff's office. The officer who had been on top of Trevor was grazed by a bullet suspected to be from the female officers gun as her rounds did not match her report for the incident. Also her body cam was never released to Trevor's attorney. The other main issue is that Trevor has been incarcerated for over 4 years and was given a 118 year sentence for attempted capital murder, which was never the case, nor proven to be. He had a jury trial which consisted of the prosecutor , who was a family member to the  then and present Sheriff and also one of the jurors was a family member to the officer who pulled him from the car. There was another person in the vehicle willing to testify to what  really happened at that incident, but she was told by the officers at the scene and the courthouse, that she could not testify. It was also determined by medical records that Trevor was left laying on the pavement bleeding for 45 minutes before any medical help was rendered. The family was not given any information about Trevor being shot until over 24 hours later. During the preliminary trial, the town officer admitted he was told to find any reason to stop the vehicle by his supervisor. Also the officer who was grazed by a bullet said that Trevor and he were on the ground struggling when the gun fired. Trevor was heavily intoxicated and barely able to stand when this all occurred. He has been unjustly violated of his rights and falsely accused by a corrupt law enforcement organization. They used him to cover up for their own officers negligence. Both the town sheriff and the female officer were rookies and it was the town officers  first night out alone and the female office panicked and fired.. Please help us to bring Trevor home. He is not the person that he has been portrayed to be by the unjustice of corrupt law enforcement. He was 22 when this happened and he deserves a normal life. I feel the officers need to be held accountable for their wrong doing in this matter of trying to kill him to cover for their incompetence.  There is so much more to this story that has to be told Thank you for any assistance in this matter.
