Tom Corbett was the Attorney General of Pennsylvania for 6 years, and oversaw the investigation into former Penn State Defensive Coordinator, Jerry Sandusky. In his tenure, no arrests were made, no charges were filed, nothing was done to stop Jerry Sandusky. He claims he wanted a "rock solid" case before taking the case to court, but what could've changed between January and November of 2011 to finally make this case "rock solid"? His office and job title. He became Governor, leaving his office as Attorney General and letting his responsibility fall down onto others, as well as the repercussions for his lack of action. Why wouldn't he want to use the authority and power in which his job description entitles him to? Well, why would he want to ruin the 6 figures in campaign donations he was receiving from board members which he would've had to indict? Why would he want to ruin the University in which he would be an active board member, and in charge of appointing a number of other board members, once elected Governor? The answer, he was simply using the office as a stepping stool to reach the office of Governor of the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. His bio page on his governors webpage reads, "Most notable of [Corbett's accomplishments as Attorney General] are his efforts to protect our children from predators...He also launched a corruption investigation of the Pennsylvania Legislature." He is mocking the intelligence and backbone of the good people of Pennsylvania by leading us to believe any of this is true, when his track record shows the exact opposite by not pursuing a man who preyed on young boys, and embodies the corruption within Government. By signing this petition, you will be supporting a motion to remove this excuse for a man from office, and helping better the representation of the people of Pennsylvania within Harrisburg. Share this on all possible social networking outlets - Facebook, Twitter, EMail, Word of mouth. Don't let the media allow him to cower away from his lack of action any longer.
