End statute of limitations for sexual crimes committed in Ohio
End statute of limitations for sexual crimes committed in Ohio

Currently Ohio’s law of statue of limitations for sexual crimes committed is one of the worst in the nation. The Ohio statute of limitations for victims of childhood sexual abuse expires at age 30. The criminal statute of limitations is 20 years after the abuse takes place. All too often, the abused does not speak up, feels guilty, or is in a place in life without support and does not speak out in time. Regardless, no matter how long it takes, sexual crimes should never go unpunished. Please sign this petition to end the sexual crimes statute of limitations in Ohio. This petition will be shared with the Ohio Governerl Mike DeWine, who is currently formatting bills to abolish this inhumane law. It’s never too late to speak up and receive justice.
