PM fears virus outbreak in Melaka as a repeat of post-Sabah election Covid-19-like outbreak in Melaka, revealing his social media platforms were filled with anxiety from those equally concerned.

“My social media is flooded with comments over concerns that a state election in Melaka might result in something similar to Sabah. Because of the Sabah elections, we saw how Covid-19 cases went up,”  PM told reporters after launching the National Preparedness Month 2021 event on 5 Oct 2021.

It was just recently that Malaysian get a taste of continuous drop in the number of daily cases, ACTnow do not wish that history will repeat itself just like what happened in Sabah that put Malaysians in a devastating state of countless lockdowns and economic downturn. This series of lockdowns have caused Malaysians to be at a depressing survival mode and for sure, it certainly isn't pleasant.
