New Haven Public Schools (NHPS) is holding a community Zoom call right now (Thursday, 7/3/20 at 6:31pm) with nearly 400 parents sharing questions and concerns over the State mandated plan to reopen schools in the fall.  

I'm watching the chat, and MANY parents seem VERY concerned as to how this STATE mandated plan fits the particular challenges of NHPS that serves 21,000 students.

Governor Lamont and Mr. Cardona -- PLEASE make an opportunity for New Haven voices to be heard, as many of US do not understand how our district will be able to handle this mandate and keep our children safe, not to mention our entire community safe.  I could write more but I want to get this out to families while we're all still on the call.

Estoy viendo el chat, y MUCHOS padres parecen MUY preocupados en cuanto a cómo este plan ordenado por el ESTADO se ajusta a los desafíos particulares de NHPS que atiende a 21,000 estudiantes.

Gobernador Lamont y Sr. Cardona: POR FAVOR, hagan una oportunidad para que se escuchen las voces de New Haven, ya que muchos de los EE. UU. No entienden cómo nuestro distrito podrá manejar este mandato y mantener a nuestros niños seguros, sin mencionar que toda nuestra comunidad está segura . Podría escribir más, pero quiero transmitir esto a las familias mientras todavía estamos en la llamada.
