Governor of California: Support the decision of the parole board for freedom

Michele Molina was a teen-ager when she became involved with a violent and abusive man who forced her to participate in a robbery during which he committed murder. Coming from a background of violence and abuse, Michele made bad choices and fell into the trap of continued abuse. She has been in prison for 25 years and during that time she has earned an AA degree, become a certified HIV/AIDS Peer Educator and a Literacy Tutor. She has participated in all self help groups available at the prison, and made substantial contributions to community organizations including ACWIP. she is also an accomplished artist. Michele is now 44 years old, has viable parole plans and much to contribute to society.

Letter to
Governor of California Governor Brown
I just signed the following petition addressed to: Governor Brown.

Support the decision of the parole board for freedom
I support release for Ms. Molina and urge you to uphold the decision of your Parole Board which recently found her suitable for parole. She has spent many years in prison and completely turned her life around, and now presents no threat to society. Michele's involvement in her crime arose from bad choices, bad men, lack of self esteem, and a history of abuse and trauma. The teen-aged girl who made those choices no longer exists, and today Michele will be an asset to society upon release.
