Lynn Beattie started this petition to Governor Mike parson

Currently, it is legal to shoot off fireworks inside the city limits from July 2nd through the 5th from noon until 11pm.  If you live in the city limits you already know that a majority of people using fireworks don’t follow these laws and will set them off at all hour of the day or night as soon as they can buy them.

This constant barrage of noise is not only difficult for people who have to work but it’s devastating to pets and people with PTSD.

More dogs get lost on this holiday than any other day of the year.  They are scared.  They will escape their yards trying to get away from the noise.  Dogs have been known to have strokes or die from seizures due to the anxiety caused by all of the commotion.

I can’t even imagine what people with PTSD go through this time of year!!

If you’re tired of going through this every year and you care about the people and animals who seriously suffer during this time, please sign this petition!!  You could save a life!
