As a current student of the graduating Class 2020, the COVID19 virus has definitely had a huge impact on the ending of our high school career. Due to COVID19, many of the activities we have spent not only high school, but our whole lives looking forward to have been taken away. These activities include but are not limited to: SAT/ACT testing, prom, making memories with friends we may not see again, finishing our athletic careers, and the most important once in a life time experience (for those without plans to attend college) to walk across the stage and receive our diplomas with our proud family, friends and educators in attendance. Not only have we as students worked hard to get to this milestone with our work, but our parents and guardians have also paid money for prom, senior activities, and senior dues. We as seniors understand the severity of this pandemic that has affected our nation and beyond, however all of our hard work and dedication should not go unnoticed. A virtual graduation can not compare to having the true experience of hearing our names get called and being able to walk across that stage as we close this chapter in our lives. We deserve to be recognized as every other class has been and enjoy our last year the same as the other classes prior to have. This is not only affecting us as students but our hard working educators and school personnel who have also worked tirelessly and contributed their time and dedication to ensuring we would make here. In closing, we need something done to ensure that we will be able to still experience these moments, even if they come at a later date than we anticipated.
