Tammy Moore started this petition to Governor Kay Ivey/ Tommy Battle

I am creating this petition to fight and curb gun violence in the city of Huntsville, Alabama. Every day or every other day there is shooting or murder. My family lost two loved ones to gun violence shy six months of each other. One of my nephews was killed on August 24, 20 and my other nephew was gunned down on March 12, 2021, he died on March 13,2021 from his injuries. He was only seventeen years old. He died a week before his birthday. He was in high school, his dreams were to play basketball in the NBA. His mom will never see her son walk across the stage, never have grandchildren, she will never see the man her son would've become. I'm bringing awareness to the heightened violence in Huntsville. The governor is more concerned with people not getting vaccinated. The gun violence in Huntsville should also be her main focus. This has to stop. I'm not only creating this petition for my deceased nephews,  This petition is for everyone who has lost a love one to gun violence. It's not easy, nor does it get better! Act now!!!! Our future generation deserve a fair chance at life!!! Their future is our future. We will not stop until justice is served for my nephews. My family or other families will no keep being silent. When our loved ones died, so did a part of us! When an African American child is killed the murder is always filed and put away in a cardboard box on a shelf. Anyone who has lost a loved one to gun violence is urged to sign this petition. We must bring about a change! We must be the change!!!!
