My son Trenton Porter was is Colorado prison and transferred to USP-Pollock. He was charged 8 yrs for a gun charge and no crime or violent crime committed. He was transferred to LA but was suppose to be in GA so I could visit more. It’s been a year since his transfer. This prison is always on lock down I have visited one time before COVID-19. Send those prisoners who have been charged the max for minimal crimes home to their families. . The inmate and their family members suffer so much. Do the right by those who are elderly, have medical issues, and those wrongfully charged to the max sentencing. Thank you.

I’m worried for my little brother like. His health issues is a matter and please with God blessings I ask to let him go free. Until Covid is done. His time is done serving is over. I can pay for his return back to our country. I just want him safe.

We are responsible for the well being of the incarcerated. You can't have it both ways - incarcerating people and absolving yourself of responsibility for their outcome. Also, there are people that have been incarcerated in the adult system in some states at 14 years old. We have programs in place to to help these people integrate back into society. That being said, letting them out 6 months early will make absolutely no difference in recidivism if the programs known to work are afforded to these people. They HAVE to rely on us because we "want" them incarcerated. Save budget and save lives and give the offenders 180 days good time.
