Many children and teens today deal with mental health. Although a good chunk of our community deals with it doesn't mean the stigma doesn't exist. Especially those who don't deal with mental illnesses in those communities. People not understanding these issues makes it harder for those dealing with mental health to talk openly about these things, to get help, etc. This can be solved by making mandatory mental health courses a thing.

  Some states have already taken this step to better help the community be aware of these issues, how to notice them, who to talk to, and how to get help. This bill being passed will make these skyrocketing numbers of mental illness and lack of care they receive decrease tremendously. This issue is so important to me since I deal with mental health myself and saw firsthand how  I've been affected in the school system. I've dealt with a lack of support from staff and peers alike from the issues I and others were dealing with that they weren't aware of. If this bill is passed it will help our community understand one another better and understand the silent struggles people are going through and prevent the worse possible outcome.
