Inmates are falling very ill to the Covid-19 outbreak in IDOC. They are not being properly treated, the prisons are overcrowded, families are not being notified, and this will lead to more deaths of inmates. Releasing non violent offenders will give the department of corrections a better chance of assisting those who have fallen sick inside the prisons without being so overcrowded with low level offenders. No one wants their love ones coming home in a box. No one wants that dreadful phone call. There’s a simple solution to this issue. If we don’t see something soon it could lead to many many lawsuits from families of loved ones in custody. Please help us seek change in the mist of this Covid crisis.
