Washington state is implementing a long term care tax, that has a very short window to opt out, otherwise you are opted in for as long as you work in WA state, there is no caps on income and as we all know tax rates only increase with time. To opt out you need to acquire long term care insurance. 

Being younger than 40 years of age I am not able to get long term care insurance unless I get a life insurance policy with an LTC rider.

The cheapest insurance available for me at 31 years of age is a more than a hundred dollars a month! I am having to cancel my current health insurance through my company to help pay for this insurance I may or may not use, when I need my health insurance now! 

With this tax one can only receive  $36500 available to use in total, it is no where near the cost of long term care as the average for long term care is around $7000 a month! We can end up paying more into the program than we will ever receive back since there is no cap and tax rates can increase at anytime. 

This tax needs to be annihilated.
