Since when did we stop flying the United States flag and the flag of South Carolina outside our schools? I’ve noticed too many school across our state who either do not bother flying flags at all or they fly old warn flags that are in bad need of being replaced. 
Too many men and women have sacrificed too much for this country and for that flag that represents what they fought  for and served for! It’s the taxpayers of America who fund the districts and pay for the buildings. No one asked what we thought about taking the flags down! 
I’d like our State Legislature to at least ensure that all the districts and all the schools in our state fly the United States flag and the State of South Carolina flag on a pole outside every school day and that they be flown in accordance with the United States Flag Codes. We’d also like for you to include guidelines for replacing worn flags and that the flags being replaced are properly retired. Every person attending our schools should know that it was the sacrifices of the men and women of our country (those who have served and those who have not) that ensure they have the privilege to attend school!  If you love our flags and you want to see them flying over our schools, please sign the petition and pass it on!
