I am writing to you to express my loss of confidence with the current Prime Minister and government of New Zealand, supported by many other citizens and residents of New Zealand undersigned below.

First let me introduce myself. My name is Lai Junior Brown. I have been a case manager with Work and Income for the last 2 years supporting my wife trying to complete her studies at Victoria University of Wellington and 4 children ages 15, 14, 13, and 12. In my role and my communities, I have seen, heard, and felt the pain of the people of New Zealand.

The recent handling of the situation at Parliament suggests that the New Zealand Prime Minister and the New Zealand government have not acted in good faith to listen to the people. They have proclaimed this is a team of 5 million, yet the group of protestors were ignored for 23 days. Their concerns have been diminished and misrepresented in mainstream media. Despite the world condemning the immaturity of the speaker of the house using sprinklers, repetitive music, not to mention the disproportionate acts of violence from the police to deter protestors who are exercising their rights to protest. The protestors were still ignored, still not part of this team of 5 million.

The people of New Zealand deserve to be heard, they deserve to be acknowledged, and they deserve to be seen by the Prime Minister and the New Zealand government.

The mandates were introduced for the health and safety of the people, yet we are seeing these draconian measures separating vaccinated and unvaccinated have not been able to contain the spread of Omicron. Instead, our children have been suffering, our suicide rates have been rising, our whanau can’t find affordable homes, our farmers have been unfairly targeted, our waterways have been polluted, our energy and food prices have been soaring not to mention fuel prices. We have witnessed countless promises that have not been kept by the Prime Minister and the New Zealand government.

The New Zealand Prime Minister has not performed her duties as the leader of this nation lawfully. The New Zealand government have not performed their duties to the people in a lawful manner. We have been misled by the Prime Minister and the New Zealand government, we have been trampled on by the Prime Minister and the New Zealand government, and we have been ignored by the Prime Minister and the New Zealand government. The Prime Minister and the New Zealand government have violated their duties to serve and lead the people of New Zealand. With these grounds it is enough to say that the Prime Minister and the New Zealand government be dismissed from office.

Therefore, we as the people of New Zealand instruct the Governor General Her Excellency The Right Honorable Dame Cindy Kiro to dismiss the Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern and the Current New Zealand government effective immediately.
