Keep Utah on track with the Paris Climate Agreement.

0 have signed. Let’s get to 2,500!

Following President Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement on June 1st, Utah citizens recognize the importance of maintaining the goals set forth within the agreement. As citizens we pledge to continue the fight to reduce our emissions, greenhouse gasses, and pollutants. We demand our state government and leaders to do the same.

After the announced, unprecedented, withdrawal from the agreement many states and cities throughout the U.S. have already signed on to plans to withhold the language of the agreement. Local governments who plan on maintaining the agreement include state governors in; California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, and 6 others, along with over 61 cities as led by their respective mayors, including Mayor Jackie Biskupski from our State’s capitol, Salt Lake City has pledged to stand with all the countries who sign the Paris Agreement. We see no reason for the state of Utah to not follow suit.

Utah is home to 5 national parks, 43 state parks and claims over 12 billion dollars a year from outdoor recreation. Our natural beauty and surroundings have played a key role into Utah becoming what it is today. We urge our elected leaders to have courage and stand with these other brave states, so we can finally be the stewards of the earth we were created to be.

Now is the time to stand firm with our convictions and push for a better future in which we use clean energy and seek to innovate the way we manage the use of our fossil fuels. Please help us create a world that our children and grandchildren can thrive in.
