This petition involves Everyone wanting to get back to our daily lives!  It involves businesses & social gatherings.  Those that are in the hospital going through a surgery, an illness or end of life and having no option but to be alone (or possibly accompanied by one person).  Robbing families of the joy of being there when a baby is born!   The elderly living in Nursing homes and Assisted Living as they are missing interaction and hugs from their families!

Our freedom of our person! Including having a mandate to wear a covering on our face in the USA where freedom has always been one of our nations greatest attributes.

We are asking the governor to lift the restrictions on our state of Indiana.  The choice to gather, to eat inside and support our local restaurants and shops with the choice to wear or not wear a face covering.    If this is allowed, we will be able to get back to a more normal state of living and thriving on so many levels. Both personally and economically   If this is not allowed, we will be in a continued state of fear, loneliness, control and lack of personal choice, which is not what this country is founded on.

We deeply care about this because it is affecting every single person in our state and in the USA !!   There is a virus, yes, but there are many viruses that we could come in contact with.  The greater problem that has been brought on by these regulations is the many that are struggling with depression and anxiety and fear and loss of businesses that they have worked so hard to obtain .The numbers are not conducive to the stipulations that are being put on us.

The stats and evidence is at our fingertips via the CDC.  The “Pandemic” ship has sailed ... we went from 15 days to 30 days flatten the curve and now we are over 100 days. The initial goal to flatten the curve was to keep hospitals from being over ran. This has been accomplished for quite some time.  The state of IN has 2,341 ICU bed capacity.  As of current, 49.4% ICU beds in use by non-COVID patients.   11.4% are being occupied by COVID patients.   Overall there are 39.2% ICU beds available.   The majority of us have done our part and tried our best to comply and be wise and responsible during this new virus. But .. it is time to get back to living.  This is what we are intended & were created to do ... Live ! And to be free to make choices regarding our lives and the lives of our children.  If a person feels safer wearing a mask, then by all means wear it!!  But for those that feel safe gathering together and choose not to wear a mask, that should be just that... your choice !!
