Supporting this movement is essential.

Due to the Covid pandemic, it has been found that musicians who have previously made a great living performing their art and paying their rent and mortgage have, after two years of being out of work are losing their living quarters. How can their kids survive educationally or even learn to appreciate music if they have no place to live. Supporting music education will help address this dismal housing situation.
Studies have revealed a strong demand for various types of living spaces, including new affordable housing, private studios, and shared creative and performing arts spaces. Jazztown USA Inc., in partnership with the non-profit International Jazz Day AZ  Foundation (IJD AZ), is leading the way to address the limited affordable workspace housing for the creative artists in Arizona by producing Jazz Festivals.

IJD AZ Foundation plans to introduce a Bill in the Senate declaring April Jazz Appreciation Month and April 30th International Jazz Day to raise awareness of this vital need. Every April, we will produce Jazz Festivals in Scottsdale, Phoenix-Mesa, Casa Grande, and Flagstaff. We have worldwide support for this cause thanks to our partnership with The United Nations Educational, Scientific,  and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and Herbie Hancock's global movement of International Jazz Day. It's time that the community comes together and addresses this situation. Please join the campaign.
