Michelle Meagher started this petition to Governor of the State of N.H. Governor Chris Sununu

My name is Michelle Meagher, I own CAUSE Hair Salon, Spa & Wig Center.
I started my Salon over 4 years ago after my Mom was diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian Cancer - finding a wig center in the Seacoast area that lived up to my expectations was null and void.
I care deeply about people, my business is built around this.
I actually closed my Spa down earlier then mandated for the safety of my employees, clients and the human race in general.
With that said, I have spent countless hours on conference calls with the Task Force, Cosmetology Board, Doctors, and Nurses.
Our Cosmetology Board recommended Salons not open in Phase 1.  It just isn’t safe for us nor is it affordable.
We had a woman (Pam New) represent our industry, because Senator Carson was “to busy” the day of the meeting.
Pam New should not have been representing our industry.   This woman has made up her own credentials.   She made up the “Board  of Cosmetology Association”, where it’s just her and her husband.  We (as local salon owners) have sent her  numerous emails asking her who her contacts are to be able to make such authoritative decisions for the salon industry - we do not get answers, only negative emails back.   This woman told the Task Force that if we do lip waxing, we would just ask the client to hold their breath —- She compared us to dog groomers ~ “If dog groomers can be open, salons should be too”.    “On the “QT” stylists are doing clients hair in their home”.   This is NOT a representation of our Industry!
The Task Force meetings consisted of 95% salon owners and stylists calling in with their concerns of not being comfortable with opening up in Phase 1.    Out of all these calls only 3 people were for opening.
Our voices were not heard!     Governor Sununu did not listen to the Board of Cosmetology, he did not listen to the Salon Industry.
He has put us in a horrible position.   He has set us up for failure!
I crunched numbers.   By opening up I will be losing money.   Doing a color I will make $11.60.  ~ I will be in the negative after paying all utilities.  That color that took us an hour before, we now have to book out 1 hour and 40 minutes.
We, Seacoast Salons are a very close nit community.    We have been in constant contact throughout all of this.   We are all feeling the same way.   WE NEED OUR VOICES HEARD!     Please, can you help us?!
We want to get back to work, we miss our clients—-  But at what expense?
