Recent news has been made public that a "Straight Parade" is coming to Boston, Massachusetts. This has been announced just before the official Boston Pride Parade (June 8). Pride has been made to show the support of LGBTQ+ community and giving the opportunity to show members of the community Massachusetts is a place of love and acceptance.

Straight couples do not receive looks when they do anything in public (ie: Kiss, hold hands, etc). Straights are not suppressed when they walk in public. Everyday in the world is straight pride. Allowing "Straight Pride" is reversing the history that has been made in our nation. It will truly offend me if the city of Boston allows this parade because for a city that has been a leader showing support to the LGBTQ+ community and its allies this is completely taking two steps back.

All I have to say is heterosexuals never had to come out to their parents, never got kicked out of their homes, bullied, or even killed because of their sexuality/identity.
