Sadly, people will not use proper safety measures to protect others from health threats. COVID-19 is once again on the rise. Although it has been proven that masks will greatly reduce the spread, along with social distancing, the general population refuses to abide by these guidelines. Only by mandating the use of masks for ALL individuals, vaccinated or not, and social distancing can we achieve a healthier community while giving the medical field the chance to develop proper treatments. Those who have health issues, documented by a doctor who can not use such tools as masks, stores should reinstate special hours for high risk and limit the number in the store, furthermore, those people should utilize those hours or curbside pickup. Moreover, all public places should limit the number of occupancy to reduce contact. We The People, petition the State of Georgia and Governor Brian Kemp to initiate a health mandate plan immediately. By implementing an emergency order, mandating masks, social distancing and group size limitations for public gatherings, we can save countless lives. We are seeing too many lives lost due to political warfare between parties. This is not a Republican or a Democratic issue, it is a life saving issue.
