With the new bail reform laws the people of New York are not safe. In many states however the ability to carry a firearm without a permit has lead to less crime. States such as Vermont which has a constitutional carry system set up has very little crime. 
I think it is time New York joins them. If you are a law abiding citizen there is no reason that you should have to wait for upwards of a year and go threw a costly process that if denied you do not get your money back. Firearm ownership is a constitutional right granted to us by our founding fathers. The criminals do not obey the law to get their firearm, it is time the government of New York makes it easier for the citizens to defend themselves against said criminals.
