As everyone knows about the shooting in Oxford this past week November 30 of 2021. Our hearts and prayers were out to the families that will forever be Affected by this tragic situation.No child should have to go to school and worry about someone shooting up their school or getting killed. Parents shouldn’t have to worry if their children are going to make it home safe. School is supposed to be a safe environment so they can get an education to become successful human beings. As of today December 2, 2021 a lot of the schools in the state of Michigan have had multiple threats through social media. Our own school district here who is closed for the day because our superintendent acted quickly I gave him nothing but praise for his quick thinking and Quick action to close down for the day. Me myself I’m afraid to send my children to school it’s a terrible society we live in. We should’ve had metal detectors for many years now. The columbine shooting should’ve been enough to warrant this regardless if it was in our state or not. We the parents here in the state of Michigan would love nothing more than to see metal detectors in every single school across the state. Money can get spent And other things but I think the welfare and safety of our children is the most important thing our life. So this petition is to get metal detectors in every single school across the state. We need this done our children need to be protected.We as parents need to feel it is safe to send our children after school every single day.
