While you are reading this short message, 11 children will die of hunger and extreme poverty! 11 human beings die of hunger each minute, 660 each hour, and 15,840 each day!

The number facing faminelike conditions around the globe has increased six times over the last year. In the meantime, world military spending rose to almost $2 trillion in 2020!

This means that 15,840 human beings die of hunger each day, while $ 5.4 BILLION (of OUR MONEY!) is spent on weapons and military operations each day (on OUR BEHALF!).

This madness has to stop!

This is a call to all the governments of the world, an appeal signed by all humanity: "Spend OUR money on Baking-Powder, not on Gun-Powder! Use OUR money for LIFE, not for DEATH!"

World military spending equaled $ 1.747 billion in a single year. To end extreme global poverty in 20 years, Jeffrey Sachs (author, "The End of Poverty") estimated an annual cost of about 175 billion dollars. Do you see the extraordinary resemblance? In a single year, the total global military expenditure would have been enough to cover 10 of the 20 years that Sachs estimates! 175 billion dollars multiplied by 10 equals 1,750 billion dollars! This means that if we use the total world military spending to eradicate extreme poverty, it will take us only two years!!!

Now, given all these, who would dare say that the Earth is well-governed? Only when enough people have awakened their hearts to others will this monstrosity come to an end!

Utopian is not the one who believes that the world can change for the better, but the one who believes that the world can go on as it is right now!

We call all our governments and country leaders to STOP spending OUR money on Gun-Powder and START using it for Baking-Powder! We want OUR money invested in LIFE, not in DEATH! We want to sponsor LIFE, not DEATH!
