We are the students of IGCSE Global Perspectives and this petition is a part of our team project. Our topic for this team project is "Water Conservation Awareness". As Pakistan may face water scarcity by 2050. A survey conducted by a international organization tells us that Pakistan wastes about ten trillion gallons of water per year.Poor water management in Pakistan is causing high water waste within the agriculture sector. Pakistan has an inefficient irrigation system that causes a 60 percent water loss. In addition, Pakistan has low water productivity in comparison with other countries. Water scarcity in Africa is predicted to reach dangerously high levels by 2025. It is estimated that about two-thirds of the world's population may suffer from fresh water shortage by 2025. The main causes of water scarcity in Africa are physical and economic scarcity, rapid population growth, and climate change. So it's the duty of the worlds population to save water as water is the main source of survival and if there is no water left it will be a major threat to the world. We need to think about the future and the threats which might effect the world in upcoming years. This petition is all about how to conserve water in the best possible way.
