Anne-Marie Buys started this petition to Government South Africa and
Somebody in Govt has decided that tobacco products must not be sold during Lockdown - for no reason. It falls under the Tobacco Act. It is my consitutional and democratic right whether I want to smoke or not, it is NOT for Government to decide that. We are living in a democratic country guarded by a Constitution. Yet again Minister of Police, Bheki Cele on 02 April 2020 has overridden Mr D Maynier in the Western Cape who issued a Provincial Direction on 01 April 2020 - all because of politics. Sigarette selling does not fall under Cele's responsibility.
