I am a Nursing Assistant and I got infected with  Covid-19 last year, while working with Covid patients on a Covid unit. I was working for staffing agency called Wise Medical staffing. When I tested positive for Covid and notify Wise Medical staffing, I was terminated by that agency. I was denied for unemployment  benefits and all other benefit that was put in place because of the pandemic. My health also declined since I got infected with Covid. I also suffer from mental illness. My 13 year old daughter also was infected with Covid. Her health and mental health also declined. When heard of this virus it had already spread through the country and people was force to stay at home. But me as a Nursing Assistant was not able to stay at home, I had to work cause it was apart of my job. And a lot of places did not have the PPE. All around the world was lacking PPE, which left a lot of healthcare workers at risk. Small business was getting grants and loans, but was not force to work. And now we are learning that we was not given the right information on how the virus started. We now know that this virus came from a lab and our government knew about it. A lot of worker's lots their lives and lot of worker's health was impacted. I am asking our government for reparation for the people who had to work during this pandemic, that was infected with covid-19. This virus could have been detained if our government official had handle this virus more seriously. And because  of this a lot of working people was infected with this virus.
