Craig Holt started this petition to Government

Hospitality has had it pretty tough through the pandemic and is one of the last businesses to open back up after lock downs.  The government has put in support for business but a great way the government could support further would be to remove or pause the excise tax increase on alcohol sold on premise.

As an example this could be targeted on support for local brewers and breweries to enable them to compete with big international groups within the market, strengthening local products and producers.  The tax could be removed for breweries who produce under a certain volume.  This would enable venues to better support local and also to better compete with the large supermarket groups.  We want customers back in our doors and adding a tax that will increase overheads and prices at the tap will put further pressure on the industry and venues.

Let's support local, let's support the little guy and help hospo get back on its feet.
