Place a cap on elderly care to make it more accessible and affordable for all!

With the UK’s ageing population on a rapid rise, it’s leading to an increase in demand for elderly care. The average cost to ensure that they receive this care is £600-£800 weekly without any help from the council, because of such high costs, families are now struggling and are in distressed situations as they’re finding it hard to afford basic essentials in day to day life. These costs barely cover the essential necessities such as food and housing. This does not just have an impact on their loved ones but the families, something we believe is totally unfair and needs to change. We hope that the government will place a cap on costs by 2020 with a lower contribution level from those in need and a more inclusive criteria for support. This allows the elderly generation to have equal rights involving their care.
