Government: Protect Existing Gay Marital Rights and Guarantee Civil Unions for all Gay Americans, Everywhere!
Between 30%-44% of youth who attempt suicide report having a sexual preference different than that of heterosexuals. I am an 18 year old college student, and I have to personally say that it is hard being gay when no one cares about your rights... and according to the statistics, many youth feel the effects. Its no wonder they feel so terrible, as said rights are still being ignored and pushed away. Its time to enact a national law that creates civil unions in each and every state, and a way to protect the legal status of gay marriage once a state officially supports it. In the political world, there is no objective reasoning to oppose homosexuality/gay rights, only personal beliefs that mean nothing when it comes to dealing with other individuals who may not share those beliefs at all. There is no reason to stand in the way of the ideals of millions of Americans, because of the personal beliefs of a small, sample number of individuals. This is the voice of Americans, everywhere, from all walks of life; and most importantly, America's young adult population, who refuse to be classified as "second class" in a country where ANYTHING is possible. Sign and Support, and let this spread like wildfire through facebook, twitter, and all the social media... tell everyone!

Everyone has an Angel. A Guardian who watches over us. We can't know what form they'll take. One day, Old man, Next day, Little girl. But don't let appearances fool you, They can be as fierce as any dragon. Yet they're not here to fight our battles. But to whisper from our hearts. we can deny they exist, Convince ourselves they can't be real. But they show up anyway, at strange places and at strange times. They can speak through any character we can imagine. They'll shout through demons if they have to. Daring us, challenging us to fight.

First and foremost, thank you for taking time to read this. If you haven't read the petition page, please do so as soon as you can. There is no objective information to deny gay marriage or civil unions, but many states do because the political leaders think their personal beliefs are worth more than the ideals of thousands of people. This needs to be ended, because there is no excuse for this on any level. I'm an 18 year old college student who wants to see a future where me and my future (speculation) boyfriend can actually be happy about who we are, without feeling second class. Would you please help this become a reality for millions more?
The ultimate goal of this petition is to encourage lawmakers to enact a law that
1. Guarantees Civil Unions for Homosexuals in Each and Every State in the Nation, and
2. Protection of the Legal Status of Gay Marriage Once a State Officially Supports It. (aka, Legal Protection from Post-Decision Repeal)

Yet they're not here to fight our battles, but to whisper to our hearts. Reminding that it's everyone of us who holds power over the world we create. We can deny angels exist, convince ourselves they can't be real. But they show up anyway, at strange places and at strange times. They can speak through any character we can imagine. They'll shout through demons if they have to. Daring us, challenging us to fight."
