Powers to stop people recording Emergency Workers in public carrying out their duties.

Powers to stop people recording Emergency Workers in public carrying out their duties.
Why this petition matters
We as a society require emergency services personnel to carry out vital roles within our community. They do this because they want to help, protect, and engage with the Public to enhance and support our lives.
What is now being witnessed is people using recording devices such as mobile phones to record these workers whilst they are dealing with a variety of situations that can be life threatening in many circumstances.
Firstly the challenge from the incident the workers are faced with requires their undivided attention, so they can resolve and keep people safe. Recording of such events can hinder and deviate peoples priorities from what is trying to be achieved, this is not fair on the people who need help.
These recordings are being shared on social media and are being used to damage Public opinion of the vital work the services do. They are regularly biased with little to no context and are commonly used to damage the reputation, especially of the Police.
The moral aspect of recording such events should also be considered, would you want a recording of your loved one involved in a serious incident being recorded in their last moments.
There is much more on the topic I could raise, it is evident people are aware that they can record in public and the powers to stop this are very limited.
I think a change in the law would support the communities and encourage people to be considered in what is and isn't appropriate to record.
