Subject- Prayer for an immediate hike in the monthly stipend of the Resident Doctors (Academic) of Agartala Govt Medical College .

Respected Sir, 
With due respect and honour, we, on behalf of the Resident Doctors (Academic) of Agartala Govt Medical College & Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital, Agartala, would like to bring this issue to your forefront that the allotted stipend of the Resident Doctors of this institute is Rs 40,000 in 1st year, Rs 45,000 in 2nd year, & Rs 48,000 in 3rd year, which is much less in comparison to the many Govt medical colleges of India, also considering the fact that AGMC is one of the costliest Govt medical colleges from the students' perspective. And also, the monthly stipend sanctioned to the Resident doctors is not even at par with what the newly recruited graduate doctors of Tripura Health Services are being sanctioned monthly despite serving at the state's main Referral Hospital.
We, therefore, on behalf of the Resident doctors of our institute, request you to kindly increase the monthly stipend of the Resident doctors (Academic) to Rs. 60,000 in 1st year, Rs 65,000 in 2nd year and Rs. 70,000 in 3rd year, considering the facts that the last stipend hike for the Resident doctors was done on 2017, after which 7th Pay Review was gifted to the state govt employees under your esteemed governance (but sadly we, the Resident doctors of AGMC, were kept deprived at that time) and also we have served with utmost sincerity during the COVID19 pandemic in the state's major COVID dedicated hospital as well and still are continuing with it.

So it is our humble request to consider our present situation and kindly provide your  most valuable consent for the stipend hike.
