Our adolescents need our help! Communities throughout the nation, state and more close to home, in counties such as, Charlottesville/Albermarle, Fluvanna, Louisa, Orange, Culpeper, Madison, Greene are limited on mental health services.

If you ask me where my inspiration comes from, my first answer would be ... our community of kids. My second answer would be Love.

Roughly 12 years ago, these two ladies started a small business, Sally and Deb. It was this month that I was interviewed, February 26th for a TDT (Therapeutic Day Treatment) counselor position 7 years ago. So here I am, a young country girl from Greene County, VA with this abundance amount of energy and attitude to make a difference. I got the job! They gave me the opportunity to follow my dreams and my passion to help the at-risk youth.

My time with Sally and Deb was short because retirement was calling and they set sail. However, they had fulfilled their dreams and built a foundation of services to meet the needs of our local communities.
With time, as it always does, the needs have increased. We need someone to care, to pay attention, we need a help!

So here I am, an older country girl from Greene County, VA with this abundance amount of energy and attitude to make a difference.
Somethings never change
and some people dont either!

Here is Sally, believing in me once again, holding my light when it gets dark and reminding me that is exactly what I am fighting for..someone to hold the light for a child in need!
