100 Years with Out Battle Honours

Battle honours are awarded to provide public recognition and to record a combatant unit's active participation in battle against a formed and armed enemy.

The Royal Bermuda Regiment/Bermudians should be encouraged to celebrate the accomplishments of all their predecessors, locally and beyond, as well as pay tribute to Bermuda’s military history and heritage by keeping the memory of their predecessors’ sacrifices alive for future generations of Bermudians.

Both the Bermudian and British Government should be committed in their support of our men and women in uniform and to commemorate Bermuda’s military heritage 100 years ago to WW1 and WW2, the Bermudian Regiment's and soldiers whose decisive actions protected both Bermuda, the United Kingdom, contributing to the prosperity, well-being, and freedom we all enjoy today.

The 100th Anniversary  of First World War is an opportunity for all Bermudians to take pride in our history and to pay tribute to our founders, defining historical moments, and the heroes who fought for Bermuda.  We also ask citizens of the Commonwealth and United Kingdom to support this petition to ensure that the battle honors that were earned by Bermudians be formally recognized to the predecessor units of the Royal Bermuda Regiment and allow the Honours to be emblazoned on the colours of the Regiment.
