Not many middle age or elderly Americans have the option to retire to Canada because the process isn't quite as simple or even existent. There is such an option if you already have family in Canada but what if you don't? Many Americans may retire to states like Florida or Arizona or even exotic countries such as Thailand. But why not make it easily available for Americans to retire in Canada by themselves? If implemented by cooperation of both the Canadian and American government, it would allow elderly Americans easier access to Canadian universal healthcare, cheaper prescription drugs and overall a wonderful quality of life to spend one's remaining life in.
