Release 60 people arrested for attending a Punk Rock Charity concert
Police in Indonesia raided a punk rock concert being held to raise money for orphans. They targetted young people with tattoos, mohawks and anyone in overly punk dress. They detained 60 people who are now being 'rehabilittated'.
The rehabilitation includes forced bathing in lakes, prayer and forced hair cuts. The local government claims that they are in violation of Sharia Law which has recently been put in place. Sharia Law is only supposed to be applied to muslims but it is being forced on other local people.
These sixty young people are having there human rights violated; Freedom of Expression, Freedom of Mobility, Unreasonable Detainment.
Call on the Indonesian government to free these young people and to stop harrasing people who choose to embrase the punk lifestyle!
