A LAW AGAINST CATCALLING

All women who experienced sexual harassment experienced sexual harassment from strangers between 6AM to 6PM, and it is quite alarming that sexual harassment has been growing in the Philippines and one of its major causes is cat-calling.
Catcalling is a form of harassment because it is an example of men asserting their authority over a woman. It removes a woman's voice, as it removes their freedom of choosing their fashion, making them conscious of their own bodies. They become intimidated, they might become frightened of what's going to happen. Women considered this as an harassment.
People wants to walk freely from all the public places with ease. No strangers to whistle and say things that are not appropriate. Stop Catcalling. Men wouldn't like it if something bad was said about their mom, sister, daughter, or girlfriend wouldn't they? Instead of blaming it on a woman's clothes, why not just think about what they would feel if they were to be catcalled?
We want to suggest to have a law for cat-calling. We want to encourage everyone to support this petition to hear the voices of every individual to fight against catcalling, as it could help to lessen the cases of rape and other sexual violence.
