Act now on plastic crisis in the Philippines!

Philippines produce 2.7 million tons of plastics each year and 20% of it ends up in the ocean. On a recent study the Philippines is the third largest contributor of plastic pollution in the ocean. 

Beyond the plastic pollution's threat to humans it also affects our ecosystem. The government should mandate better waste management systems, the government also should shift the responsibility of recycling to manufacturers and producers, phasing out single-use plastics that are not recyclable, and uphold its mandate to Ecological Solid Waste Management Act, to avoid the further neglection of the people and our environment.
