Hyderabad was established along the banks of Musi river, it also used to be a main source of water before all the technological advancements became popular throughout the world, Before the Musi river was the lifeline of the city of hyderabad before it turned into the massive drain for waste it is today however the Musi river’s pollution still impacts parts of hyderabad that are close to it, around 30 villages with a estimated population 1,00,000 people are affected by the pollution,the presence of the chemicals in the water alon cause cancer, diarrhea, jaundice, typhoid and other diseases. in those 30 regions water is imported from different places instead. This is a waste of a completely useful water body that is dying due to pollution. If the community of hyderabad and the telangana government were to put some attention to the water body it would benefit the locals and might also be a worthwhile tourist attraction which would be both environmentally and economically beneficial.
