As of recent, service SA centers have shutdown services such as booking of theory and hazard perception tests (HPT) as well as bookings to complete learner permits and transition to provisional 1 permits. As I am one affected and many others who are eligible as of the 2/04/2020. Personally I believe it to be unfair to have to wait an extended time to transition to P1's and then to P2's. I am aware of the health and safety concerns but with everything completed (Hrs and Driving Lessons/Final Drive) and only needing completion of a HPT to complete and transition to P1's I believe that all eligible as of the 2/04/2020 should have a reduction of time from P1's to P2's to compensate for the extended time for waiting to complete the learning permit. Im not asking for services to be re-opened but I would like to see compensation to those eligible during the period of time the services are shutdown. (This being time reduced from the start of P1's to P2's, as I am eligible to become a provisional driver and may have to wait longer to begin my P1's.) As a year 12 student, the stress of having to worry about the new online learning services have already had an impact and having the added stress of worrying about learners permits and the effect of this is not needed.
