Outbreaks in the Covid 19 are all over northern Saskatchewan and getting closer to our Community if it hasn't already arrived. We have many people in our community who are associated with those areas of the province and essential services from La Ronge who provide services to these communities. We are asking the La Ronge town council and the Government of Saskatchewan to rescind the exemption for the town of La Ronge and give the residents of this community the peace of mind that they are being kept as safe as possible from this virus and that people are not able to come into this community and possibly bring this virus in. We have the right to feel safe and protected! Do we want another outbreak like the one on the west side of the province. The virus doesn’t move...people do. So by allowing others to freely enter and leave this community we are inviting the virus in. Who is monitoring whether these visitors are keeping with the recommendations set out by the government. I for one am not willing to risk the health of my family and friends so others can come into the community from the outside. Our health region is not capable of handling this kind of outbreak and I'm sure you have heard we have 1 ventilator for our region. I can't imagine the strain it puts on our healthcare. Please sign this petition if you are against opening up our community to the outsiders and the potential carriers of this virus.
