Stop the Bill That Discriminates Against Muslim Women in Quebec
Why this petition matters

STAND UP FOR MUSLIM WOMEN WHO ARE FORCED TO TAKE OFF THEIR HIJAB
Quebec's education minister posed for a picture with Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai, then said the education advocate would not be allowed to become a teacher in the Canadian province unless she removed her headscarf.
Quebec’s (Canada) government passed Bill 21 that bans religious symbols for public service employees who are in duty. This extends to individuals who wear turbans, kippahs, crucifixes, and more. This forces thousands of individuals to choose between their religious beliefs and financial security.
These individuals are our teachers, our police officers, and our judges.
Individuals who sacrifice themselves for the education of our children, fight for justice in our country and safety in our neighborhoods. The least we can do is fight to protect their religious freedoms.
YOU can do something about it.
The bill was challenged in court on the 9th of July, and the Judge will issue a decision by Friday the 19th of July.
All it takes is your signature to you support our heroes: our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, teachers, policewomen and judges.
