Make The 407 Ours Again
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
Highway 407 was built by the Ontario government using taxpayer funds to construct the highway. It opened in 1997. The plan was for the 407 to pay for itself and become a free public highway in approximately 30 years. The Tory government passed a law allowing the government to sell it off and it was sold in 1999 for $3.1 billion dollars.
The committee to reclaim the 407 strongly believes that the Government of Ontario should purchase, expropriate or enact new legislation to bring back the highway into the Ontario transportation system and to the people of Ontario. Please sign this petition if you support making the 407 ours again.
