Free dental care covered by OHIP

The current wave seems to be one where full time employment no longer exists. The majority are part time or "full flex" at best. This means that employers are no longer paying benefits for their employees. Though we are fortunate to have a good health care system, it falls short in one important area. Dental care is not a luxury....it's a necessity! It should be part of OHIP coverage. Recently a Whitby, Ontario woman was reported by a dentist to Children's Aid for not following up on her childs dental needs. If this is a reportable offence with possible dire consequences then the governing bodies obviously realize the importance! What happens to those who cannot afford dental care? Those without employee or family coverage? The part time workers? The unemployed? Retired? Disabled? Let's call on government to include dental care as part of OHIP!
